A construction worker was killed this morning above the massive construction site of the Annapolis Towne Centre in Parole, officials said.
Firefighters were called to the area just west of Annapolis city limits at 9:15 a.m. to help an injured worker, said Division Chief Michael Cox, a county Fire Department spokesman.
Construction workers told firefighters they were attempting to remove a section of a tower crane when something went terribly wrong and a worker was trapped and crushed between two sections of the crane, Chief Cox said.
